Prerequisites for Mobile testing
How to Set Up Prerequisites for Mobile App Testing in ContextQA
Getting your mobile app ready for automated testing starts with uploading the right files. Uploading your APK or IPA ensures ContextQA can install the app, understand its structure, and automate tests reliably. Here’s how to get started.
Obtain your Mobile app file
For Android, use the APK file.
For iOS, use the IPA file.
Go to the test development section
Navigate to the Test Development area in ContextQA.
Open the upload section
Select the Upload section to begin the process.
Click Upload
Click the Upload button.
Choose your app file
Pick your APK (Android) or IPA (iOS) file to upload.
(Optional) Rename the file
If needed, change the name of your file in the upload interface.
Verify file type and confirm upload
ContextQA will auto-detect your file type. After that, confirm to upload. The system securely stores the file, making it available for test execution and development.
Once uploaded, your app shows up in ContextQA—ready for automation testing. This process also helps maintain version control and streamlines onboarding for mobile QA teams.
Uploading your APK or IPA file is the first step towards smooth and reliable automated mobile app testing with ContextQA.
