Installing the ContextQA Extension

Steps to Install the Extension

  1. Navigate to the ContextQA Website

  2. Click on Product

    • Select 'Product' from the main menu.

  3. Click on Extension

    • Choose 'Extension' from the dropdown menu.

  4. Redirect to Chrome Web Store

    • You will be redirected to the Chrome Web Store. Click 'Add to Chrome'.

  5. Add the Extension

    • Confirm by clicking 'Add Extension'.

  6. Pin the Extension

    • Click the Extensions icon in the top-right corner of Chrome.

    • Click on the Pin icon next to ContextQA Test Automation.

The extension is now added and pinned successfully.


Logging In Through the Extension

Steps to Log In

  1. Click on Extensions Icon

    • Click the Extensions icon in the top-right corner of Chrome.

  2. Pin the Extension (if not already pinned)

    • Click on the Pin icon to ensure the ContextQA Extension is visible.

  3. Open ContextQA Extension

    • Click on ContextQA Extension from the pinned extensions.

  4. Click on Login

    • Select 'Login' to access the login page.

  5. Redirect to Login Page

    • The extension will redirect you to the ContextQA Login Page.

  6. Enter Valid Credentials

    • Fill in your Company/Organization (mandatory) and other credentials.

  7. Optional: Login via Google

    • If credentials are saved to Google passwords, you can use Google to log in.

  8. Enter Email and Password

    • Input your Email and Password.

  9. Click on Submit

    • Click 'Submit' to complete the login process.

  10. Access Dashboard

    • After successful login, you will be redirected to your ContextQA Dashboard.

  11. Verify Extension Login

    • Click on the ContextQA Extension to ensure successful login.

You are now logged into the ContextQA Extension successfully.


Creating a Test Case Using AI

Steps to Create a Test Case

  1. Navigate to URL

    • Open the URL you wish to test.

  2. Click on ContextQA Extension

    • Click on the ContextQA Extension icon.

  3. Select AI Test Case

    • Click on 'AI Test Case'.

  4. Choose E2E Test Case

    • Click on 'E2E Testcase' to record end-to-end interactions.

  5. Recording Steps

    • Perform the required steps. The actions will be recorded.

  6. Create Test Case

    • Click on 'Create' to save the recorded steps as a test case.

  1. Open ContextQA Extension

    • Click on the ContextQA Extension icon.

  2. Navigate to Test Case List

    • Select 'Test Case List'.

  3. Click on Create

    • Click on the 'Create' button.

  4. Enter Test Case Name

    • Provide a Name for your test case.

  5. Optional: Add Description and Tags

    • Add a description and tags if desired.

  6. Save Test Case

    • Click 'Save' to store the test case details.

  7. Confirm Save

    • Click 'Ok' to confirm.

  8. Start Recording

    • Click 'Recording Start'. The red highlighter indicates recording is active.

  9. Perform Actions

    • Enter username and password, and click 'Login'.

  10. Stop Recording

    • Click 'Recording Stop' when done.

  11. Save Steps

    • Click 'Ok' to save the recorded steps.

  12. View Saved Steps

    • The recorded steps will be displayed.

  13. Validate Steps

    • Validate all steps to ensure accuracy.

  14. Test Case Created

    • Your test case is now successfully created.


Editing a Test Case in the Extension

Steps to Edit a Test Case

  1. Open ContextQA Extension

    • Click on the ContextQA Extension icon.

  2. Click on Edit (Pencil Icon)

    • Select the Edit (pencil) icon next to the test case.

  3. Edit Test Case Title

    • Click on the Test Case Title and rename it if needed.

  4. Edit Description and Tags

    • Update the Description and Tags as desired.

  5. Update Test Case

    • Click 'Update' to save changes.

  6. Confirm Update

    • Click 'Ok' to finalize.

Editing Test Steps in the Extension

Steps to Edit Test Steps

  1. Open ContextQA Extension

    • Click on the ContextQA Extension icon.

  2. Select Test Case

    • Click on the Test Case you want to edit.

  3. Click on Edit (Pencil Icon)

    • Select the Edit (pencil) icon next to the test step.

  4. Edit Test Data

    • Click on Test Data and change values (e.g., change "Admin" to "admin").

  5. Save Changes

    • Click 'Update' and then 'Save'.

  6. Edit Label Names

    • Repeat steps for Label Names if needed (e.g., change "username" to "Username").

  7. Save Edited Labels

    • Click 'Update' and then 'Save'.

Changes made to test-data and labels are now visible.


Deleting a Test Case from the Extension

Steps to Delete a Test Case

  1. Open ContextQA Extension

    • Click on the ContextQA Extension icon.

  2. View Test Case List

    • A list of test cases will be displayed.

  3. Click on Delete Icon

    • Select the Delete icon next to the test case you want to remove.

  4. Confirm Deletion

    • Click 'Ok' to confirm.

    • Click on the Test Case containing the step you want to delete.

  3. Click on Delete Icon

  4. Confirm Deletion

    • Click 'Ok' to confirm.
