Creating a Step Group
This guide outlines two methods for creating a Step Group in ContextQA, offering flexibility to suit various needs. We have two ways to do it. Each method is explained in detail, ensuring users can choose the most suitable approach for their workflow. By following this guide, users can efficiently organize and manage Step Groups, improving navigation and streamlining the testing process for better efficiency and control.

Navigate to ContextQA Test Development section

Click on Testcase

Select the steps that need to be added to the step group

Click on Create Step Group

Rename the Step group to a suitable name

Click on Create

Step Group is created successfully

Navigate to ContextQA Test Development section

Click on Step Groups in the Test Development Section

Click on the Create button on the right side on the page.

Upon clicking on the create button, we will get a menu where we can give a name to our step group

Click on Create after entering all the necessary details

Upon clicking on Create will get a message on the left side to confirm the creation of the step group

To Record Steps in the created test case, click on Record on the top right

Record the necessary steps

After recording all the necessary steps, click on the Stop Recording Button from the overlay

After clicking on the stop button, we will be redirected to a new tab with the recorded steps

We can Re-check the step group created by clicking on the Test Case Section and click on Step Group Section

Here we can see the New Step Group is Successfully created.
